Construction of the Data Warehouse

• The design of the Primary Data Warehouse is divided into sections by identifying “Facts” that are independent from each other and “Dimensions” that are common among section

• Such a strategy allows for building Primary DW sections that:

  • Can grow autonomously and are integrated
  • Can be stored on different hardware

• The set of all Integrated Primary DW section constitutes the Enterprise Data Warehouse
