Conclusion
As can be seen by our demo, the CAP prototype truly exhibits the
power and flexibility of the exploratory model. Our prototype
allows users to easily generate focus in the database by creating
all types of constraints on both the antecedent and the consequent,
and takes advantage of these constraints to make the mining process
even more efficient. Splitting up the process into two
distinct phases further allows users to make crucial decisions about whether additional
processing is worthwhile or not.
Besides the features shown in our demonstration, the prototype also allows users to
- easily modify, copy, delete or reorder constraints
- run under either the classical or exploratory models
- choose between running Apriori or CAP
- save constraint and output data into text files
- manipulate graphs and charts displaying sorted frequent sets
- view sorted or unsorted frequent sets by maximality or level
- view contents of the database, its metadata and the transaction databases
We hope you have enjoyed our demonstration.
